It's always unfortunate when we are in an automobile accident.

We can be in a daze and under severe distress.

It is also unfortunate but you must try to make some fundamental steps to help document correct liability and to seek good health care.

It can take several weeks to months or more to properly rehabilitate a whiplash injury.  Long term negative consequences can develop without good rehabilitation.

Car accidents are unique to an analysis of high forces, car safety features and personal injury.

To have a legitimate claim and receive the proper treatment you must do certain things.

*A ticket by a police officer must be given to somebody at the scene.

Get as much information as possible from the other party and the police.

Do go to the hospital if you have any doubt about your injury!

Document as much as possible (form: Daily log of symptoms chart)

Take a picture of the cars with your cell phone, if possible before anyone moves them. Then take a picture of yourself.

If you hit your head definitely go to the hospital and get checked out!

Much has improved in car safety but an accident can create a partial or permanent disability that could be slight to severe.  It is important to get good and timely care.

Without broken bones, bleeding and an airway problem it’s not unusual to get minimum physical treatment and only ice therapy for the first few days to a week after an accident. Radiographs, CT scans, MRI’s, other imaging can be very important. Most cases have to have a minimum seven radiographic views of the neck while standing to support the treatment when insurance is involved.

I have a auto accident specialist Melanie who works with a Dr. Eldridge to assist you with questions 303 758 9006.

Our office also works with Dr. Fall a medical doctor, Physiatrist who specializes in objective medical examinations regarding injuries and then creates well written documentation.

We almost always want a second objective opinion. It’s to your benefit to then proceed with the proper care of intensity and duration to hopefully reach a resolved outcome.

In some cases we will  reach MMA or maximum medical improvement or MTB Maximum Theraputic Benifit rather quickly while some cases will move slower. It just happens that way sometimes.

Our goal is to give you the best chance of recovery and get things resolved. We offer many great treatments and therapies.
