Fitness is a combination of several factors starting with genetics. From here it’s all about good biomechanics, regular training and being smart about the process.

All most anyone can be more fit than they are today and usually they will feel much more alive for it.

I realize that it’s the doing that gets in the way. Non compliance of will! It will hit you someday that you could do more; the heart is a muscle and needs routine exercise.

Whatever it is, walking, swimming, pilates, yoga, P90X, biking, or something else, just do it! Be smart as you mature and slowly reduce the high impact sports and dangerous recreational activities out there.

A good healthy lifestyle combines good food, movement, rest, hydration, and a good peace of mind.

Achieving good fitness skills is a way to prevent future injuries and truly enjoy life to its fullest.

Many athletes today can have anxiety before an event and even with their fitness training schedule.  A loss of sleep and focus can be very detrimental to an expected performance.

The following are two techniques for Relaxation; both creating more yin energy for the body, helping regulate adrenal exhaustion and your immune system.

Trouble sleeping?  Try our Sleep Technique

It is very important that we sleep and give our body time to heal.

Reduce stimulants, Increase Exercise, try Melatonin, breath slow and deep, and go to your happy place.

Lack of sleep has bad consequences.

The latest technique to get to sleep is doing repetitive simple math. Start at three hundred and count backwards by threes. 300, 297,294,291,288,285,282,179 and on. This should either really annoy you or you will slowly drift into a deep sleep and dream that you are a CPA.

A specific "Relaxation Technique"

Meditation is a technique usually used for twenty minutes at a time that can rejuvenate the body and mind

There are well researched relaxation techniques that have great affects when used correctly and usually have one main thing in common.  They all use a vehicle word to move the mind into a more relaxed state. Usually it's a nonsense word or sound that has nothing to associate with it. The word "one" for example has no images to focus on, so if you can sit very still, silently repeat to yourself  “one” with  a slow breath  you will start to ease into a state of deep relaxation. Sure your mind is going to drift for a few seconds, but just bring yourself back  to repeating the word "one".  In twenty minutes this technique does good things for your whole body and can alleviate major stress. Should be done sitting.

Refer to:  “The Relaxation  Response” or “Beyond the Relaxation Response” written by Dr. Herbert Benson at Harvard Medical School.

We offer a private forty five minute relaxation training.

Fitness in General

We believe getting into a routine is the best way to achieve a goal.

Outline you own program and write down the goals for each week.

You might surprise yourself.

The more you can picture yourself fit and break down your routine and create a chart of exercises and nutrition the the more effective you will be.

Your body is just waiting to get fit if you give it a boost.

Try to get excited about the new you!
