This work is inspired by Javanese cultural mythology. Elders or parents assume that healthy dog saliva can heal wounds on the skin. In Indonesia, some people also believe dog meat is effective as traditional medicine. From this belief, the artist describes the story of a dog sticking out its tongue before the Buddha who was giving out the blessing of healing power to the dog. In some cultures, dogs are sacred animals and is an important symbol in the spiritual elements of various traditions.
